Chan Luu began her jewelry-making journey during her childhood in Nha Trang, Vietnam where she loved to craft jewelry from shells found on local beaches. Years later, after emigrating to the United States and pursuing a career in retail, she would fulfill her childhood dreams by establishing her namesake jewelry brand. Launched from her home studio in Los Angeles where she made all of the pieces by hand, Chan's budding business received a significant boost after Jennifer Aniston was photographed wearing one of her hand-painted seashell pendant necklaces at a fashion show. The brand is now carried in stores across the globe and also includes ready to wear. Known for her distinct bohemian style, Chan Luu is an ardent supporter of artisan craftsmanship and fair labor practices. Each collection is created with a focus on using ethically sourced, high-quality organic materials.
